Target Operating Model
This case study details the SimCorp One Analysis & Discovery project, which aimed to establish a new Target Operating Model (TOM) with SimCorp at the center of a major Asian Pension Fund's business operations.
The client was driven to transform due to several critical challenges: their legacy system could not support future growth, they faced limitations in investing in new products, and their existing account structure had become overly complex and misaligned with business operations.
The comprehensive transformation covered the client's entire front-to-back operations, including orders, analytics, compliance, performance, IBOR, and accounting.
Business Transformation
Dimensional Community developed a comprehensive solution that supported the full business transformation.
A key strategic component involved analyzing how the client could in-source accounts that were previously managed by their custodian.
The implementation of the new TOM resulted in significant organizational benefits, including the establishment of new business units and the successful in-sourcing of 250 accounts.
Overall, the project achieved a 20% cost reduction and created a robust, future-proof operational model, enabling the client to overcome growth constraints and align their complex account structure with their strategic goals.
